Like a match made in heaven, real ale and real music get it together as Blues On The Farm’s legendary real ale tent returns for it’s 25th year.
Blues On The Farm – Thursday 16th June to Sunday 19th June 2016.
This dream event couples music – in the form of rocking blues, blues & blues-roots bands – with over 20 refined and regional beers on tap. With a varied range of ABVs, colours and different styles of ale – milds, porters, blonde ales and strong ales – there’s an ale (and music) to suit every palate.
Blues On The Farm festival has been described as “A little piece of the Mississippi Delta on the Chichester Plain”. Young at heart, this festival is, rightly so, the stuff of legends. The event is staged in a beautiful 40-acre setting on the Sussex Coastal plain, a couple of miles south of Chichester and has a huge reputation for presenting high quality music from world-class musicians, in a family-friendly, safe and relaxed environment.
This year’s ‘from-the-old-school’ lineup includes blues legends like Gary Brooker (Procol Harum) and friends, Ian Siegal, Stevie Nimmo and more. The festival doesn’t ignore the upcoming young guns of the blues, of course – bands like The Bushman Brothers, Idlewood, and Red Butler among others, take to the stage for a perfect afternoons entertainment (while supping an ale, perhaps?).
Other notable acts appearing over the four days include multi-British Blues Award winners King King, Mike Sanchez, The Blues Band featuring Paul Jones (of BBC Radio 2 fame), The Billy Walton Band, Sari Schorr and the Engine Room (New York) plus The Hitman Blues Band (New York) and Brilleaux (New Zealand), this promises to be a really international affair.

There will also be ciders, lagers and other refreshment – alcoholic and non-alcoholic – available
This will be a true celebration of an incredible 25 years of music making, when international acts of the highest quality converge on the farm…
Blues On The Farm attracts an audience for it’s excellent line up but also for it’s special countryside location, a handful of miles from both the seafront in one direction and the beautiful Sussex town of Chichester in the other. It all takes place in a relaxed, hospitable, atmosphere with incredible local food, it’s enormous range of delicious local beers plus interesting, varied trade stalls and much more.
With all this in the sunshine month of June, on a farm, with like-minded people. What’s not to love?
